Street Smarts: Thailand
Finding good street food is one of my goals whenever I go traveling. I like to think I have a stomach made of steel because I hardly ever get food sick, but if you are scared for your stomach a few important things to remember is to eat things that are being made hot, go to the vendors with the lines, and don't eat the fruit.
The first three pictures were from Bangkok, Thailand. The guy had hot pastry dough balls smothered in a savory soy-based sauce with octopus inside (and yes, that is a hot pink taxi behind him). The next picture was a woman was making flower offerings. The third a humongous durian fruit in a local market. The last two pictures were in Koh Phi Phi, Thailand of a local diner displaying tonight's specials on the street.
