I hosted a bridal shower recently. The bride to be is an eco-friendly, clolorful lovin chick so I of course threw a Exotic Eco-friendly shower. We made bridal dresses out of newspaper instead of toilet paper, put together an electronic guestbook as well as sent invitations via email, gave seeds as the giveaway, and used biodegradable tableware. Here are some details.
The menu consisted of Asian fusion flavors such as hoisin risotto croquets, chicken satay with peanut sauce, summer salad bites with a ginger vinaigrette, and beef skewers. For dessert, mochi ice cream balls, plantain and jackfruit rolls with caramel, s'muffins, and green tea cake. To keep pests away from the yummy food, coconut citronella candles gave the complete feel to the table.
