Make someone feel special. Bring them dinner. Whenever I get in the mood I like to grill my favorite meats and vegetables. Not only am I a cookin' gal but I'm also a grillin' kinda gal. Include a bottle of wine and a side salad and you've got a wonderful dinner for two whether you choose to eat at a park, beach, or your friend's home. Don't forget disposable plates, utensils and a wine bottle opener. Who knows where you end up dining.
Rosemary Pork Chops
2 chops about 1 inch thick (bone-in or out doesn't matter)
2 sprigs of fresh rosemary
fresh cracked black pepper
Chop up the rosemary excluding the stem. Marinade the pork in the rosemary, olive oil, salt and pepper for 30 mins in room temperature.
Bring your grill to a high of about 500 degrees (with it closed). A grill is like an oven, it can't heat up if the door is open. Once it reaches the right temperature slap those babies on the grill for about 3 mins. Turn them over and bring the heat to med (or a cooler part of your grill) and close the door for another 4-5 mins. The internal temp of the meat should reach about 145 degrees. The inside should be just slightly pink or white.
Let the chops rest for at least 5 mins.
You can also grill some corn with them.
Soak the corn with husks still on for 30 mins in water. Place them on the grill and rotate as needed (about 15 mins). Take them off the grill and let cool. Take off the husks and enjoy!
