What's In Your Beach Bag?

Bula (hello) from the Fiji Islands! Andrew and I had our wedding a couple weeks ago and are now on our honeymoon in Fiji.  We have been here for just over a week and have had so much fun and relaxation from work and wedding planning.  The sunsets are so gorgeous here, and I would recommend anyone to stay here for a relaxing vacation.

I've compiled some of my must-haves when visiting the beach, as we have been doing everyday here in Fiji.  Back home, we've moved further from the beach recently, and I've had to plan my beach bag essentials when going.  Here are some beach bag essentials that I like to take along.

1. Hawaiian Tropics Shimmer Effect sunscreen - $7.99 at major drug stores.
I love the shimmering essence to this sunscreen.  It adds a radiant feeling when applied, and looks great under the sun!
2. Matthew Williamson Escape Green Tropical Print Sarong - $287 at stylebop.com
I always carry 1 or 2 sarongs to the beach with me.  They are so versatile. They can be used as a towel, a summer dress, or even a bag!  To use as a bag, place all your items in the middle, pair the short corners together and tie.  Loop your arm through and you've got yourself an easy summer bag!  This sarong has a beautiful tropical print that will surely stand out at the beach.
3. Colour Block Floppy Hat - $44 at topshop.com
Leave the beach umbrella at home.  That thing never stays up in the wind anyway.  A big floppy hat is enough to keep harmful UV rays out of your face and eyes.
4. Essie Summer 2012 Collection in Mojito Madness - $8 at major drug stores
I like to have bright colors on my nails in the summer months.  This shade, Mojito Madness, matches the fun of summer.  Add a drink and you're set!  Get the Essie Bikini So Teeny summer 2012 collection to brighten up your entire summer with different nail colors.
5. Benefit CORALista blush - $28
I recently discovered this blush and I now swear by it.  This blush gives a light, warm, pinkish color to your face, perfect for the summer.  It's warm, shimmery glow compliments any skin tone.
6. Talbots Straw Tote - $120
What's a beach bag essential list without a beach bag?  I like to choose beach bags where sand can pass right through, making it easy to clean.  Choose a straw bag with some color accents, add your belongings and you're set for the beach!

Other than these items, I like to pack a few snacks and a bottle of water.  It's important to stay hydrated while under the hot sun.  What are some of your beach bag essentials?
